editorial staff
The editorial staff consists of an Editor-in-Chief [Alan Fogel], an Archive Editor (Marjorie Huebner) and an Editorial Board composed of 5-10 Associate Editors (to be named). The composition of the Editorial Board shall contain persons with a minimum of two years experience as a bodywork practitioner or movement teacher, be representative of the worldwide community, and have some familiarity with both the bodywork and movement aspects of Rosen Method. Board members ideally will have some expertise in writing and editing, and know something about some or all of the topics covered by the journal in order to provide expert opinions and reviews to the Editor. The Editor and Board will serve 4-year, renewable terms. The Editor will be appointed by the Rosen Institute and he or she will be free to choose an appropriate Editorial Board.

Editor-in-Chief

fogelAlan Fogel, Ph.D. began his training in Rosen Method at the Southwest school in 1998 and has been a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004. Alan is also a Professor of Psychology at the University of Utah where he studies non-verbal communication and touch in both parent-infant relationships and somatic awareness therapeutic relationships such as Rosen Method and Feldenkrais Method. Alan has served on the editorial boards of scientific journals in the fields of emotion, psychology, and human development, and has written many books and scientific articles in that field. Alan would like to use his expertise as a writer, editor, and scientist to promote Rosen Method internationally and make it more understandable and acceptable to others. Alan maintains a small private Rosen Method bodywork practice that enriches his understanding of human behavior and development. Editorial Board Members

apsionAnnabelle Apsion is a Rosen Method Bodywork practitioner in the Hampstead area of London and combines her love of Rosen Method with a career in the Arts. She has trained in several different styles of physical / emotional self -expression and is also the co-director of the Rosen Method training center in the UK. She has assisted in many workshops in the UK, and also studied with Marion Rosen in the U.S.A. She has articles published in Massage World about Rosen Method - and her work was recently featured in Health and Fitness Magazine. Annabelle believes that the peaceful yet powerful ripple effect of Rosen is something huge that she wants to support and be part of. She wants Rosen to become extremely well known, so that she can help fulfill Marion's dream that everyone can receive Rosen touch. She hopes to use her national appeal as a TV and film actor and director to bring Rosen into the public eye.

bourqueGail Barry Bourque, Psy. D., P. T. has been a Rosen Method bodywork practitioner for over 20 years. She is a supervisor and an Introductory Workshop Teacher. Gail is a clinical psychologist and a physical therapist with a generalist practice and a specialty in mindbody healing for injuries and illness. She has a private practice in Oakland, California and is affiliated with the East Bay Functional Restoration Program for Chronic Pain. She has taught Rosen Method and Anatomy for Bodyworkers in the United States and abroad. A past adjunct faculty at John F. Kennedy University in Neuorbiology for Somatic Psychotherapy, she has also lectured on the interrelatedness of the nervous system, development and trauma as they relate to Rosen Method bodywork. She was a core founder in 1986 of the Rosen Method Professional Association and RMPA Views, and is a past board president of the Rosen Institute.

coberCarol Cober, MS, is a Rosen Method Practitioner, licensed mental health counselor, and certified massage therapist. She brings over 25 years of work experience in mental wellness counseling, rehabilitation and coalition-building to her private practice at Blueberry Gardens, a wellness center in Ashton, Maryland. She also is employed as a Research Field Manager and Trainer at Westat, an employee owned firm offering custom research and program evaluation in Rockville, Maryland that does research in the area of child abuse and negelct, prison rape, disabiltity and program evaluation on vocational program issues. Carol also practices as a poet and artist, leads spiritual renewal retreats and enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter and new life partner, John.

jacobsIsot Jacobs came from Germany to the Bay Area with her son in 1982 and began her training with Marion in 1983. She is a Rosen Method practitioner and introductory workshop teacher and she does editing on the side.

thijssenAnne Birgit Rustad lives in Norway, in a little town north of Oslo. She has been a Rosen Method Bodywork practitioner since March, 2005 and a Rosen Movement teacher since October, 2006 and she continues to be inspired by the power both. Her weekly Rosen Movement classes are held in the Health Center in the city where she lives and she also gives courses in Rosen Movement for groups and organizations. Anne loves to introduce Rosen Method to the different groups where she is invited. She has assisted in both Bodywork and the Movement trainings and loves it. Her education is as a kindergarten teacher and in supervision, psychology, special care for handicapped people, and leadership training. She has been working in these professions for about thirty years and continues to do public service work part time. Anne also has experience writing and editing and has been involved in three book projects.

thijssenMarie-José Thijssen was born in 1962 and has been involved in health, awareness and spiritual matters since 1988. Her special interests are bodywork, movement, meditation, energy & light work, contemplative psychology and common sense.

williamsJeanie Williams. Jeanie C. Williams. After 10 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jeanie recently returned to her beloved Land of Enchantment: Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is the publisher/owner of 52 Stone Press (publisher of Rosen Method, An Approach to Wholeness and Well-Being by Elaine L. Mayland, Ph.D.), as well as principal and owner of BlueGlassHeart Productions. She is also an editor, writer, book reviewer for Southwest BookViews, poet and Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner with offices in Tesuque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has served as managing editor of Pennywhistle Press, Vice-President of the New Mexico Book Association, board member and Vice President for the Poetry Center of New Mexico, member of PEN New Mexico and on the editorial board of Hembra (formerly Women's Voices) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also co-editor of Saludos! Poemas of New Mexico, the first bilingual anthology of the poetry of New Mexico. She is Managing Editor of the quarterly RMPA Newsletter for North America and studied poetry under the direction of Pulitzer Prize winning poet, Jorie Graham and National Book Circle Award winner, Ruth Stone and has a BA in Theatre Performance and English/Creative Writing from Humboldt State University. Ms. Williams has also assisted at Rosen workshops around the world, including Calistoga, California; Portland, Oregon; Missoula, Montana; Langenboom, Holland; Mexico City, Mexico; and, Bodrum, Turkey.

Archives Editor

hubnerMarjorie Huebner has been practicing hands-on bodywork since 1984. She has been trained in masage, Trager, Craniosacral Therapy and Authentic Movement. She is a Rosen Method bodywork practitioner, Rosen Method movement teacher and will soon be a Teacher Trainer for Rosen Movement. She lives and works in Minneapolis, MN.
